Marci from Norwalk, Ohio lost her younger brother Pete Rinner.
He had begun to use heroin and overdosed on March 1, 1999. He was a student at Ohio State University in Columbus, and was to graduate later that year. In Marci's words, "Pete was an awesome young man with charm and sensitivity. He was a beautiful person with an amazing future ahead of him. He was only using heroin for a short time before he overdosed. Although we had seen warning signs, we had no idea that he was using heroin." Marci has since spent much time writing articles and speaking to schools about the dangers of drug abuse. This website is the latest in her armoury of weapons designed to deal with this scourge.
The death of any young person is terrible enough. The sorrow and pain are increased significantly when the death is caused by that young person’s own use of dangerous drugs, because there is always the nagging thought that perhaps someone, somewhere, somehow, could have seen the signs and done something to prevent it. His mother, Marcia Rinner, has spent the past few years learning how to come to terms with losing her son. She can be contacted at

Daniel Farr
Lynn Farr's story of the death of her son, Daniel, a young soldier at Catterick Barracks, Yorkshire. Originally intended as a memorial to Daniel. Then it became apparent that there had been other strange deaths at Catterick, and Lynn decided to extend this Website to include the stories of these other tragedies.

John Baverstock's poetry is already featured HERE on my Website, and if you've read that page you will know that John had to weather a traumatic period of his life a few years ago. He has now successfully moved on and, amongst other things, has devoted much time to raising money for the Shire Green Cricket Club (Sheffield), helping youngsters towards an interest in cricket rather than hanging around the streets, and raising money for a local Childrens Hospice.
